ABOUT OUR CLASSES
At Chisel and Dowel Woodworking School you will learn to master traditional woodworking techniques in the creation of a range of beautiful and well crafted products.
Our fully equipped workshop space sits above the professional woodworking cooperative of Splinter Workshop, and will provide you with an immersive experience as you work alongside some of Sydney’s best practicing wood designer/makers.
Our team of passionate and talented teachers are professionals in their trade, each sharing their individual set of skills and strengths to bring out the best in their students.
Over 9 weeks we will introduce you to the fundamentals of woodworking and you will be guided and supported by the skilled team of teachers to develop your crafting skills. Each project is designed to introduce you to a new set of woodworking hand tools and skills, allowing you to feel comfortable to work at your own pace in the creation of your hand crafted products.
CLASS OVERVIEW
Throughout the 9 week term you will be working at your own pace through a variety of projects that are specifically designed by our team to teach you the basics of woodworking. You will build upon these skills through each of the successive projects, which have been designed to gradually become more challenging as your level of competency and technique grows.
